Massimiliano Magrini has always worked at the intersection of business and technology, that being
the thread across his career from launching the operations of Altavista and Google Italy as founding
country manager, to creating an avant-garde VC studio in 2009, Annapurna Ventures, and then co-
founding United Ventures in 2013. At United Ventures, Massimiliano provides strategic guidance to
portfolio companies and leads the investment thesis on game-changing technologies, aimed at the
creation of long-term value. 
Besides sitting on the board of several startups, he is a member of the Board of Directors of OVS SpA
and a member of the IIT (Italian Institute of Technology) Participation Committee. Panelist, mentor,
and keynote speaker with a deep understanding of digital and disruptive technologies, he authored in
2018 the essay “Fuori dal gregge”. Massimiliano holds a degree in Political Science from the
University of Bologna.
